Theme Videos and PSAs

OVC helps lead communities across the Nation in their annual observances of National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW) each April.

The weeklong initiative promotes victims' rights and honors crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf.

These public service announcements (PSAs) and theme videos are part of OVC’s efforts to raise public awareness on crime victims' rights and issues.

2020 NCVRW Theme Video

April 2020

The theme for 2020 National Crime Victims Rights' Week is Seek Justice | Ensure Victims' Rights | Inspire Hope. This year's theme commemorates the individuals and groups whose advocacy has propelled the victims' rights movement forward for the past half century, inspiring in victims and their loved ones a feeling of hope for progress, justice, and healing.

2019 NCVRW Theme Video

The 2019 National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW) Theme Video celebrates the progress made by those before us as we look to a future of crime victim services that is even more inclusive, accessible, and trauma-informed. The Faces of Human Trafficking PSA

January 2014

On January 14, 2014, OVC debuted the "Faces of Human Trafficking" public service announcement (PSA), which is highlighted in the 2014 National Crime Victims' Rights Week Resource Guide. The goal of the PSA is to raise public awareness of human trafficking and highlight that survivors of this crime have very diverse backgrounds and experiences. The PSA is also available in Spanish, Thai, Hindi, and Tagalog. Download the PSA.
